We are proud to announce that our Coordinator, Prof. Ernesto Damiani, has been awarded the rank of Officer of Star of Italy, a high decoration that honors those who contributed to Italy’s collaboration with strategic partner countries like the UAE. In the past ten years, he has strongly contributed to many initiatives at Khalifa University, many of them involving top Italian Universities and the Italian Embassy in Dubai in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Intelligent Systems.

Ernesto’s lead is an inspiration for all the Lab’s members and this award is a recognition of all his effort within the University of Milan and the Khalifa University!
