Ernesto Damiani received the Stephen S. Yau Services Computing Award

stephenYaoThe Stephen S. Yau Services Computing Award aims to honor excellent researchers for outstanding contributions to the field of services computing. The award is named after Dr. Stephen S. Yau, a world-renowned researcher, educator, and community leader who has made many significant contributions to distributed and services computing. The 3rd edition of the Award has been awarded to Ernesto Damiani, for his  outstanding contributions to the field of Services Computing in terms of research, education and industry engagement.

Ernesto received the award from the hand of Stephen Yau himself on July 3rd at the IEEE SCC-Cloud-BigData Congress in San Francisco Previous recipients of the award include LJ Zhang, founding chair of the IEEE and IBM Research’s Services Computing community, and Ephraim Feig, technology pioneer for SaaSand founding CEO of TopwHats.
