6th Workshop on Multimedia, Distributed and Pervasive Systems

About MPDS

The 6th MDPS workshop is organized by the Department of Information Technologies of the Università degli Studi di Milano in collaboration with the Chair of Distributed Information Systems of the Faculty of Informatics and Mathematics of the University of Passau and INSA – University of Lyon.

The workshop usually promotes the participation of Ph.D. students and senior researchers of different countries, centered on the presentation and discussion of research in progress at the doctoral school as well as  seminars conducted by experienced researchers or industrial experts on  subjects related to the scientific program of the workshop. Invited speakers will be selected from both academic and industrial communities, to bring their experience and present their research studies as well as discuss novel issues, recent developments, applications, methodologies, and novel techniques.

Follow this link for information about past MPDS workshops.

The workshop is partly supported by the German-Italian University Centre (Ateneo Italo-Tedesco – Deutsch-Italienisches Hochschulzentrum).

Scientific Program

The scientific program of the workshop builds on the successful research program conducted within the conjunct Italian-French-German doctoral college. The general idea is to tackle open scientific locks identi-fied in the previous research period and to explore new research directions in these domains. The topics of the workshop are on four main axis: multimedia, distributed systems, pervasive computing and IT-security. The goal of the workshop is not only to encourage collaboration among high-level academic researchers in these strategic domains, but also to facilitate a practical community, to foster networking, and in the long term, to create opportunities for additional scientific projects.

All papers must be original contributions, not previously published or be under review for publication elsewhere. All contributions must be written in English. Accepted papers will be published in pre-proceedings with ISBN.

How to reach the Department

The Department of Information Technology is located Crema, via Bramante 65. All the social activities will be organized in the surroundings of the department.
