Ernesto Damiani has been invited to give a keynote at the X Simposio Brasileiro de Sistemas de Informação (SBSI) on “Digital Ecosystems in a World of Big Data“.

The talk first introduced the basic techniques for privacy-aware capture and analysis of large amounts of behavioral data, pointing how how these techniques foster efficiency and intelligent decision-making in Digital Ecosystems. Then, it discussed how data science can be used to find new ways to create value, identifying the “right” amount of information needed to optimize digital ecosystems processes such as order-to-cash. Finally, the talk focused on open issues in data standardization, which will be a critical factor to drive the speed of the digital economy evolution.
