Short Bio
Gabriele Gianini is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy). He has received a Ph.D. in Physics 1996 from the Universita degli Studi di Pavia, Italy. He has held visiting positions at a number of international institutions, including INSA de Lyon (France), University of Passau (Germany), CERN (Geneva, Switzerland), Fermilab (Chicago, US), CBPF (Brazil), EBTIC/Khalifa University. He has been also Adjoint professor at the Free University of Bolzano (Italy) from 2005 to 2012.
Among his research interests: machine learning; statistical and soft computing techniques applied to big data analytics and image processing; quantitative modeling applied to process and protocol analysis and design, with focus on game theoretic modeling.
From 1992 to present he has co-authored over 200 papers published in internationally refereed journals and conferences.
