Gabriele Gianini is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Università degli Studi di Milano. He has received a Ph.D. in Physics 1996 from the Universita degli Studi di Pavia, Italy. He has held visiting positions at a number of international institutions, including INSA de Lyon (France), University of Passau (Germany), CERN (Geneva, Switzerland), Fermilab (Chicago, US), CBPF (Brazil). Since 2005 is Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Universita degli Studi di Milano (Italy), where he is a lecturer of Probability and Statistics. He has been also Adjoint professor at the Free University of Bolzano (Italy) from 2005 to 2012.
Among his research interests: quantitative modeling applied to process and protocol analysis and design, with focus on game theoretic modeling; statistical and soft computing techniques
applied to big data analytics and image processing.
From 1992 to present he has co-authored over 200 papers published in internationally refereed journals and conferences.
